Photos in Telegram — send one, get it back better

Take a photo of the plate. Send it to the chat. Say “use the Warm Wood style, 4:5”. The new photo comes back.

The rule

Nothing is made until you press ✓ Apply. The chat always asks first, and tells you what it will cost.

How it works

  1. Send the photo to the chat. You can add your words in the same message, under the photo.
  2. If you sent no words, the chat asks what to do. Tap a button, or answer in words.
  3. It shows you what it will do and what it costs, with ✓ Apply and ✗ Cancel.
  4. Press ✓ Apply. The new photo arrives in the chat in about a minute. To put it on a dish, tap Upload to an item under it.

Two kinds of change:

  • A saved style. “Use the Warm Wood style.” These are the styles in Photo studio. Ask “what styles do we have?” to see the list.
  • Your own words. “Make the light warmer.” “Take the fork out.” “Put it on marble.”

You can also ask for a shape: 1:1 square, 4:5 for a feed post, 9:16 for a story.

Good to know

  • The chat holds one photo at a time, for 30 minutes. Send a new photo and it forgets the old one.
  • In a group, each person holds their own photo. Yours is not touched by anyone else.
  • Each new photo uses credits. The price is in the message before you press Apply.
  • The owner turns this on. Open Settings → AI → Telegram and add the two photo tools.
  • The new photo is saved in Photo studio too, so you can find it later.
  • Send the photo in the normal way, from the camera roll. Sent as a file, it does not work yet.
  • To put the dish or the bottle in the photo on your menu, tap Create a new item. See Add a photo to your menu from Telegram.
