Text and texture
Questi contenuti non sono ancora disponibili nella tua lingua.
Picking a look gives you colours and a typeface. This is the rest: how big the words are, how thick your headings sit, and how much air is between the lines.
The rule
The text can never be made too small to read. If you ask for something smaller than 15, the setting says no.
How it works
Open Brand. Under the typeface picker you will find Text and texture. Every control saves on its own, and the preview beside it redraws as you drag. There is no Save button.
- Text size makes the whole page bigger or smaller, not only the words. Try 17 if guests tell you your site is hard to read on a phone.
- Space between lines opens up long paragraphs. Higher is airier.
- Heading thickness runs from Light to Heavy. A steak house wants Heavy. A wine bar usually wants Light.
- Space between letters spreads a heading out or pulls it tight.
- Heading letters puts your headings in CAPITALS, or leaves them normal.
- Grain lays a light texture over the page. A little goes a long way.
Press Put the text back to normal to clear all of it.
Good to know
- These settings change your website — the home page, About, Contact and What’s On. They do not change your menu pages.
- Picking a look in Pick a look sets all of these for you. You can move any of them afterwards.
- You need the paid website for this. On the free menu the card is greyed out.
- Only people who can edit the website can change it. The owner grants that in Settings → Team.
- You can also just ask Dani. Say “the text on my site is too small” and she will change it.
