Detail fields for a section

A wine section wants producer, vintage, region and grape. A pizza section wants dough, size and whether it’s white or red. You set those boxes up once on the section, and every dish inside it gets them.

The rule: apply a ready-made card and the section remembers it — that’s what teaches AI Fill to answer like a sommelier instead of guessing in general terms.

The quick way

What this section holds sits in the New category box and in the section’s own settings. Pick Wine and you get the wine boxes plus the wine-savvy AI, with nothing else to press.

Changing it later fills in the card only if the section has no boxes yet — once you’ve set boxes up, they’re yours.

Choosing a card by hand

  1. Open the section and scroll to Custom fields.
  2. Press Apply template… and pick the card that matches.
  3. Choose Replace current fields to start clean, or Merge into current fields to add only what’s missing.
  4. Press Apply & save. The boxes appear on every dish in that section straight away.

Rename any box, add your own, or hide one from the public menu — the card is a starting point, not a cage.

Good to know

  • Applying saves immediately. Any unsaved edits you had open in that panel are replaced by what’s saved.
  • The section remembers the card. That memory is what makes AI Fill write about a Barolo the way a wine person would. Add your own boxes and it still remembers.
  • Clear every box and it forgets. A section with no fields left goes back to the general-purpose AI voice, which is the honest answer.
  • Scanned sections already have a card where one fits — a scanned wine list arrives with the Wine card on it.
  • Some sections have no card, on purpose. Mains, starters and sides have no ready-made set that fits, so they stay empty rather than asking a sea bass which cut of beef it is.
  • Only people who can edit the menu can apply one.
