What your web address shows

Your link can show a few different things. You pick one, in one place.

The rule

One list, one choice. Your own web address shows the same thing as your BiteTheMenu link.

How it works

Go to Website → Website Settings and pick one:

  1. Text menu — names and prices, no photos. It opens fast on a slow phone.
  2. Photo menu — your dishes as photo tiles. A guest taps one and it opens with the big photo, the description and the price. They stay on the same page.
  3. Full website — a real website with pages: a home page, your own header and footer, photos and video, and a page for every dish. Guests can order.
  4. Offline — nothing public. Your link stops working until you put it back.

Under the list there is one more switch: Your home page. Turn it on and your link opens on your home page. Turn it off and your link goes straight to your menu.

Good to know

  • Switching off is free, on every plan. It always will be.
  • Going offline asks twice and tells you what stops working first — including online orders. Coming back is one tap.
  • Nothing is lost when you change. Your dishes, photos and prices stay exactly as they are. Going offline keeps your look, so it comes straight back.
  • The home page switch needs the full website. A text menu and a photo menu have no home page, so the switch waits.
  • Photo-first website is on the way. You can see it in the list, marked Soon. You cannot pick it yet.
  • The full website and the home page are part of the paid plan. Only owners can change any of this.
  • You can also ask Dani to move between the full website and the web menu — but not to take your site offline. That one you do yourself.
