Add a photo to your menu from Telegram

Send a photo to the chat. The AI reads it and adds what it finds to your menu. The photo can be a menu page, a bottle of wine or a dish.

The rule

New items are hidden. Guests cannot see them until you tap Make the items public.

How it works

  1. Send the photo to the chat.
  2. Tap Create a new item. You can also write “add this to the menu” under the photo. Add a price if you know it, for example “red wine, 1,200 a bottle”.
  3. Wait about one minute. The chat sends a list of what it found: the items, the sections and the prices.
  4. Tap Add to menu to save the list. To change a name or a price first, tap Check it in the app.
  5. The items are now on your menu, but they are hidden. Check them. Then tap Make the items public.

Good to know

  • Reading a photo uses AI credits. If you do not have enough credits, the chat tells you. It sends a button to buy credits and a button to see the plans.
  • The AI makes a new section when it needs one. A bottle of Chianti goes into Red Wine.
  • A bottle label has no price. Write the price with the photo, or add it later in the app.
  • If an item is already on your menu, the AI does not add it again. It can change the price or fill in empty details.
  • If the photo shows one new item, the photo goes on that item too. It is hidden, and it is the item’s main photo. Make the item public makes both public.
  • You made items public by mistake? Tap Hide the items again under the next message. Guests cannot see them now.
  • The owner turns this on. Open Settings → AI → Telegram and switch on Add a photo to the menu.
