Fix my menu structure

If you built your menu by hand, your sections may not know what they hold. A section that knows it holds wine gets the wine boxes and an AI that talks like a sommelier; one that doesn’t, gets neither.

The rule: it only ever fills in blanks. Anything you have already set is left exactly as it is.

How it works

  1. Open Menu → Categories. If anything could be improved, a Fix my menu structure button appears with a number on it.
  2. Press it. You get a list: each section, and what would change — what it holds, which section it would sit under, whether it gains detail boxes or Glass and Bottle prices.
  3. Everything is ticked. Untick anything you’d rather leave.
  4. Press Apply. It tells you how many sections it updated.

The button then disappears, because there is nothing left to fix. That is how you know it worked.

If any section gained detail boxes, a Fill in the details panel appears underneath — the dishes in it are now sitting in front of empty boxes. That part costs credits and is a separate press; the repair itself stays free.

Good to know

  • It’s free. There is no AI reading here — it works from your section names, so it costs no credits. Only the optional Fill in the details step afterwards costs anything.
  • It never renames or merges anything. It only fills in what a section is missing.
  • It won’t argue with you. If you’ve already chosen what a section holds, moved it, or added your own boxes, it leaves all of that alone.
  • Glass and Bottle are only offered with proof — where dishes in that section already have a by-the-glass price.
  • A section holding other sections stays put. Sections go one level deep, so a section with types inside it can’t itself move under another.
  • Some sections get no suggestion, and that’s deliberate: “Shots” could be a cocktail or a straight pour, and guessing wrong is worse than staying quiet.
