Guest requests from the chat

Questi contenuti non sono ancora disponibili nella tua lingua.

Some questions the chat can’t answer — booking a table for twelve, a private party, an allergy the kitchen has to confirm. When that happens it offers to put the guest in touch, and a short form appears. What they type lands in Customers → Guest requests.

The rule

The chat never handles their contact details. It offers the form; the form goes straight to you.

How it works

  1. A guest asks for something the chat can’t do, or asks for a person.
  2. A small form appears in the chat with name, email, phone and a message.
  3. You get an email and a Telegram message. Your venue email gets a copy too. The request appears in Customers → Guest requests. The sidebar shows a green count while any are unanswered.
  4. Press Reply in the email to answer the guest, or call them. Then press Mark done.
  5. Press Add to customers to keep them. They get a customer card with this chat saved on it.

What they asked beforehand sits behind What they asked the chat.

Good to know

  • Owners and managers get the email. Turn it off in your profile; the queue fills either way.
  • The email in Settings → Venue gets a copy too. To stop it, leave that email empty.
  • Nobody joins your customer list on their own. Add to customers is the only way. An owner or a manager presses it, and pressing it twice is safe.
  • They typed that email address themselves. It counts as verified only once they sign in.
  • The sidebar number counts new ones only, and rolls up to Guests when collapsed.
  • One request per conversation. The chat is deleted after about 90 days. The request stays, and so does a copy of the chat if you added them to your customers.

Ask it instead of opening it

Ask in a chat, in the app or on Telegram: Is anyone waiting for me?

You get how many are waiting and what each one wants. It does not read out phone numbers or email addresses unless you ask, in case you are in a group chat with your staff.
