Photo or drawing

Not every menu picture should be a photograph. A hand-drawn cookbook page suits a wine list. You choose which you get.

The rule

Drawing makes a drawing. It costs half a photo. It comes in one size.

How it works

  1. Open an item and press Add media, then AI Generate.
  2. Pick a Look. The illustrated ones are named for what they are — Vintage Cookbook, for example.
  3. Find the How to make it row near the bottom.
  4. Press Drawing.
  5. Press Make the picture.

Three choices sit in that row. Fast and Best both make a photo and both cost the same. Best is slower and holds more detail. Drawing is the third, and it is the only one that changes the price.

Good to know

  • A drawing costs 20 credits. A photo costs 40 or more. The price is on the button, so you see it before you press.
  • A drawing comes in the small size only. The Size row shows one choice when you pick it.
  • It is good at drawings and weak at photos. Use it with the illustrated looks. For a picture of a real plate, use Fast or Best.
  • It is also weak at writing words inside a picture. Keep text out of it.
  • Press Fast again and your size choice comes back.
  • The same three choices are in Photo Studio, the Composer, your Library and What’s On.
