Draft and publish

Your home page has two copies. The draft is the page you work on. The live page is the page guests see.

The rule

Guests do not see a change until you press Publish.

How it works

  1. Change your page in Website → Page builder. Each section has a Save to draft button.
  2. The bar at the top counts your changes. For example: You have 3 changes. Guests do not see them yet. A changed section shows a Changed or New label.
  3. Look at the preview. The Draft tab shows your changes. The Live tab shows what guests see now.
  4. Press Publish. Your changes go live. You can press Undo for one minute.
  5. You do not want the changes? Press Delete changes. The draft is the same as the live page again. You can press Undo for one minute.

Dani and Telegram

Dani also changes your draft. When she changes a section, she asks you: Publish now or Only save it. On Telegram you get the same two buttons. See Ask Dani to change your website.

Changes can wait into the next day. Then owners who use Telegram get one message in the morning, with a Publish button.

Good to know

  • Only your home page sections wait. These change at once: dish names, prices and photos, opening hours, your address, events, your logo, and your colours and fonts in Branding and Text and texture.
  • Pick a look and Build me a page change your sections and your look together. Both wait for Publish.
  • Two people who work on one venue share one draft. Publish puts the changes of both people live.
  • A section with typing that is not saved stops Publish. Press Save to draft first.
  • Your home page is off? Then the button says Publish and show it. Only the owner can press it.
