Owner — the business seen from your home page
You read the business by revenue and margin, not by who’s in the kitchen at 11am. The system frames what you see accordingly.
The rule
The owner’s home page answers “is the business healthy?” Another role’s answers a different question from the same data. Three framings, one set of facts — open the one that matches what you’re about to do.
What your role shapes
- Your home page shows the numbers you check before a meeting, each tile tapping through to the report behind it.
- Your assistant speaks your language. Ask “how did we do last week?” and you get revenue, margin and top sellers by contribution. The same question from a chef returns something else. That’s deliberate — you shouldn’t have to wade through their view.
- Your alerts are the ones that move money. You don’t get the one-off operational pings. You do get one when four happen in a day, because that’s a pattern rather than a blip.
Running a group
The venue picker matters most for you. With a group it nests venues under the chain name and the home page carries a quiet “rolled up across 2 venues” badge — every tile is the sum or weighted average.
Each tile has a by venue chip. Tapping it splits the tile inline, so you read “iO Osteria did 84% of last week; Hansar did 16%” without leaving the page.
Changing what you see
Settings → Roles, find the owner row. The persona section edits four things:
- Job description — a one-pager on what this role watches. Useful the day you hand it to someone else.
- Assistant voice — the framing prepended to every AI answer for this role.
- Alerts — which keys wake your phone.
- Dashboard layout — drag to reorder, hide what you never look at.
Save once and it applies across every venue you own.
