Uploading your own photos and videos

The AI is good, but sometimes you already have the perfect shot. In the Composer, next to Generate, use Upload your own.

How it works

  1. Pick a file — JPEG, PNG, HEIC or WebP for photos, MP4 or WebM for video, up to 50 MB.
  2. Within a few seconds it appears in your draft like a generated image would, with the channel’s aspect ratio already applied.
  3. It also lands in your Library with a sky-blue Uploaded badge, so you can find and reuse it later.

Good to know

  • Uploading is free — no credits.
  • iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPEG automatically.
  • Photos get three versions: a thumbnail for browsing, a web-sized one for live posts, and your full-resolution original kept for downloads and edits.
  • Videos keep their original encoding and pick up a poster frame so they show properly in the grid.
  • Once uploaded it behaves exactly like a generated asset — download it, copy its link, attach it to several posts, or run an AI edit on top of it.
  • There’s no video editor yet. AI edits and crops work on stills only.
