Getting your venue set up
You have an account but it is not joined to a restaurant yet. Three answers fix that.
The rule: we check that you are part of the restaurant. You do not need to own the Instagram account.
How it works
- Type your restaurant name and pick your place from the list. It comes from Google Maps. You then see your place with its photos, stars and reviews. Press Yes, this is my place. The next questions open after that. On a computer, a phone beside the form shows your page with your photo and your stars.
- Type your name on Instagram — the name people type to find you, not the title on your page.
- Check your email. It is the address you signed in with. Change it if someone else should read our message.
- Press Send. We write to you, we check you are part of the restaurant, and we open your account.
You can close the page. We send an email when the account is open. If you stay, the page opens by itself.
While you wait, get day one ready. The page shows three small things. Each one saves by itself, and all three are optional:
- Send your menu. Take a photo of each page, or upload a PDF. Up to 5 pages. Your team reads it the minute we say yes, so your menu is on your website from day one.
- Pick a look for your website: Rustic, Elegant, Bold or Minimal. You can change it later.
- Your best dish. Type the dish guests love most. If it is on your menu, we put it first on your page.
Good to know
- The Instagram account does not have to be yours. Owners, staff and agencies are all fine. We only check that you work with this restaurant.
- The email can be someone else’s. An agency signing up for a client puts the address that should get our message.
- We approve by hand, usually the same day. This is what stops someone else claiming your restaurant.
- One restaurant, one request. If a colleague already asked for the same place, we tell you.
- If we cannot approve it, you see the reason on the same page and can send it again. A refusal is not for ever.
- Joining a team that is already here? Do not use this page. Ask the owner to add you from Settings → Members.
- Cannot find your restaurant? Use Paste a Google Maps link instead and send us the link.
Adding a second location
Already with us and opening another place? Open the restaurant name at the top of any page and choose + Add venue. It is the same three questions. We checked you once, so it is quicker the second time.
While you wait, a Back to my venue link takes you home. You can have one request open at a time.
