Competitors — know what the places around you are doing
The places near you run their own campaigns, launch their own dishes and collect their own reviews. Growth → Competitors is a quiet daily window onto that, with their posts and ratings next to yours.
The rule
Public sources only — public Instagram Business or Creator accounts, public Facebook Pages, public Google listings. Nothing a competitor isn’t already publishing.
How it works
- Open Growth → Competitors. The column on the right already shows places your guests also look at — Nina read your listing, your prices and your area to find them. She never offers your own place, another of your restaurants, or somebody you already watch.
- Pick one, or type a name into Find a competitor by name. You only ever give her one thing; she finds their listing, reviews, social pages and menu herself over the following days.
- Each competitor becomes a card showing their rating, review count and recent posts. View detail opens everything she’s gathered.
- Once every slot on your plan is taken, that right-hand column changes job and starts reporting on the places you already follow.
Good to know
- Your plan sets how many competitors you can watch — the free plan gives you one. Channels are free: Instagram, Google, Facebook, TikTok and their menu all count as one competitor.
- Instagram has to be a public Business or Creator account. A personal profile can’t be read, by us or by anyone else automated.
- Removing a competitor wipes their captured posts and reviews. Re-adding them starts from a clean slate.
- Ask the in-app chat or your Telegram bot things like “what did Appia post this week” — it reads everything on this page.
