Ingredient health check
Once a day the app looks at every ingredient and looks for numbers that cannot be right. If it finds any, it tells you on the ingredient list.
The rule
A wrong cost is silent. It looks exactly like a right one on every page. This check is what makes it show.
How it works
- The check runs once a day on its own.
- It flags an ingredient when the saved cost does not match the pack size and the price. A price typed per case instead of per gram can make a ฿0.90 ingredient look like ฿900.
- It flags an ingredient that is used in a recipe and has no cost at all. That is the one that breaks a dish margin.
- If anything is flagged, an amber line reading N items need review shows at the top of the Inventory page.
- Open it to see each ingredient and why. Fix it, then press ↻ Re-scan to check again at once.
Good to know
- An ingredient nobody uses in a recipe is never flagged. A venue still setting up stays quiet.
- A row made by a recipe is never flagged for having no cost. Its cost is the recipe’s job.
- The check only reads. It never changes a cost on its own.
- The line shows on the main ingredient list, not on the prep list.
