Venue details — who your venue is

This page says who your venue is. Guests read it on your website. The app uses it for every price and every time.

The rule

Fill it in once. Your website, your receipts, your emails and your posts all read from here.

How it works

Open Settings → Venue. The page is seven steps. Work down them in order.

  1. The basics — your name, and the web address people type.
  2. Money and time — the money sign on every price, and your clock.
  3. Opening hours — the days and times you are open.
  4. Where you are — your street, town and country.
  5. How to reach you — phone, email, WhatsApp and your booking link. We also send guest messages to this email.
  6. Where to find you online — your social pages.
  7. About page — a link to your About page. You build it in the Page builder: press About page at the top. Add your story, photos and your team there.

The list on the left says which step you are on and how much of each one is done. The panel on the right shows the bottom of your website. It fills in as you type, so you can see what a guest will read.

When you change something, a bar comes up at the bottom of the page. Press Save changes. Your web address has its own save button.

You do not have to type it all

Bite waits in the corner. Tell him about your place in your own words and he fills the form in for you to check. See Let Bite fill in your venue details.

Good to know

  • Each day of the week has a bar. The orange part is the time you are open. If you close after midnight, the bar wraps round to the start of the next day.
  • Copy Monday to every day fills the whole week in one press. It does not copy your notes.
  • Changing the money does not change your prices. It changes the sign in front of them.
  • Changing your web address breaks every QR code you have printed. The app asks you to confirm first.
  • Set your time zone here too. The Telegram assistant uses it to work out what “today” means. Without it the assistant falls back to a default clock and can name the wrong day around midnight — it will say so rather than guess, but the fix is one field.
  • You can ask the Telegram assistant “what time do we open on Sunday” and it reads these hours, not a note somebody typed months ago. A day you have not filled in comes back as “I don’t have that day”, never as closed. Switch Your opening hours on under What it may do. See Telegram.
  • Add your booking link in step 5. Paste the link to your booking page, for example SevenRooms or OpenTable. A guest can ask the website chat to book a table. The chat then shows a Book a table button that opens your page.
  • Guest messages go to the email in step 5. Three things send a copy there. A guest fills in your contact form. A guest asks to book an event. A guest asks the chat for a person. Press Reply in that email to answer the guest. To stop the copies, leave the email empty.
  • Only owners can change this page.
  • Each answer from Bite costs 1 credit.
