The menu sidebar

The menu down the left is how you move around your admin. It’s organised into grouped boxes so you can find a tool by its area and its colour, not by hunting a long list.

How it works

At the top is a Find a page box. Type a word, like “voice” or “orders”. The list shows every page that has that word in its name or in its area name. Press Enter to open the first page. Press Esc or the ✕ to clear the box.

Under the box is Dashboard. It is always there. It is not inside a box.

The bar across the top of the screen carries View site and Live menu — your public address and your menu page in a new tab, without walking through Website settings.

Each area has a title with a small icon. The areas you use every day come first:

  • Orders & tables: Online Orders and Tables, and your till screens if you have them.
  • Guests: Customers. Then Chat: Messages, Guest requests, Chat history and Guest chat setup — the setup also lives under Settings, so staff answering chats find it without leaving Guests. Then Events: What’s on, Event Bookings and Event Packages.
  • Menu: Menu Items, Menu Categories, Menu Look and Scan Menu (AI).
  • Website: Page builder, Pages & address, LinkMe page, Links and QR and Website Settings.
  • Marketing Studio has small labels. AI Team is at the top. Then come five groups:
    • Posts: Today, Post ideas, Write a post and Calendar.
    • Photos & videos: Photo Studio, Scrolling Films and Library.
    • Our channels: Channel analytics, Google, Instagram & Facebook, TikTok and TripAdvisor.
    • Market: Market dashboard and Competitors.
    • Setup: Add your pages and Auto-posting.
  • Brand: Look & logo, Writing voice, Your story and Photo style.
  • AI and Training come next. Training has three groups: Learn, People and Build.
  • Settings is near the bottom. In every area, the settings page is the last row.
  • Every box starts closed. Tap a title to open or close it. The box with the screen you are on opens by itself.
  • Your choices are remembered on this device.
  • On a phone, the menu slides in over a dimmed background. Tap any item, the ✕, or the dimmed area to close it and get back to your work.

Good to know

  • The sidebar has a plain look, without coloured boxes. Press the palette button at the top of the screen for a colourful sidebar. Press it again to go back. The choice is for this device only. The rest of the page does not change.
  • You only see the areas and tools your venue has turned on and that your role is allowed to use — a smaller, cleaner menu for smaller roles.
  • The boxes and colours are just for grouping; they don’t change what any tool does.
  • The menu remembers which boxes you opened, per browser, so it opens the way you left it.
