Alerts when it gets busy
Thirty orders on a Friday should not be thirty messages. The bot sends the first one and counts the rest.
The rule
The first alert comes now. The ones behind it come as one short line.
How it works
- An order arrives. The bot sends it to you straight away.
- More orders arrive in the next minute and a half. The bot does not send those.
- About 90 seconds later the bot sends one more line: 3 more orders since 19:42.
- Then it starts again. The next order after that comes through straight away.
The time it shows is your venue’s own clock. You never lose an order. They are all in your orders list, and the first message links you there.
Good to know
- It counts per person and per room. A busy phone does not make the bot quiet for anyone else.
- Each kind of alert has its own count. A rush of orders never hides a guest waiting to talk to someone.
- Emails are never held. You get one for every order you asked for. An email makes no sound, and you can search it later.
- You cannot change the 90 seconds. It is the same for every venue.
- Quiet hours come first. An alert your quiet hours stop is not counted, because nothing was sent.
