Composer — make one post, one question at a time

Making a post is five questions. One is open at a time and the rest fold up showing your answer, so the page reads back as what you decided. The panel on the right shows the post exactly as Instagram or Facebook will render it.

The rule: the words come before the picture — your caption is what the photo gets designed from.

How it works

  1. Where does it go? Instagram or Facebook, feed post or story.
  2. What’s it about? One of your dishes, or your own idea.
  3. The words. Press Write the post and Elena writes the caption, hashtags and alt-text in your venue’s voice. Edit any of it right there.
  4. The picture. First: a photo or a video? Pick one and you get one button for it — Design the photo with Leo, or a choice of three ways to get a video. You can also Upload one or take one From your Library, free, at any point.
  5. Save it. It lands on your calendar as a draft. Nothing goes out on its own.

In a hurry, Do both for me — the small button just under step 2 — runs steps 3 and 4 together using what you’ve already picked. It sits there because it needs your answers to steps 1 and 2 first.

Good to know

  • Step 4’s AI buttons stay locked until the words exist — that is the whole reason for the order. Uploading your own photo always works.
  • Ask Leo (or Elena, on the words step) sits in the bottom-left corner the whole time. Say what you’d like to see and he writes the design brief for you.
  • Photos of your own dining room, terrace or bar mean every picture is staged in your real place — add them under Your own rooms.
  • Once a photo exists you can change it in plain words: “warmer light”, “take the napkins off”, or show it a photo of your real dish. The preview shows it happening.
  • The engine behind your photos and videos is named on the page — see What makes your pictures.
  • Every button that costs credits says so before you press it. Uploads, titles over a photo and menu montages are free.
  • Voice & Brand — the voice every caption is written in.
  • Library — everything you’ve made, ready to reuse.
  • Calendar — where saved drafts land.
