Table bookings: spaces, tables and times

เนื้อหานี้ยังไม่มีในภาษาของคุณ

Table bookings let guests book a table or a private room with you, not with another app. You tell the system what can be booked and when. Guests book on your site at /book, for example app.bitethemenu.com/your-venue/book.

How it works

  1. Open Orders & tables → Floor Plan. Each room is a tab. Press Rooms to add one, for example Main room.
  2. Add your tables with Add a table, and press Move tables to drag them where they really are.
  3. Tap the room. Tick Guests can book this room. Then press Open room settings. The room has its own page:
    • Shared room (many groups, one table each) or Private room (one group books it all, for example 6 to 14 guests).
    • Group size online: the smallest and largest group a guest can book online. Staff can still add any group.
    • How long a table is kept: the same for every group in this room, for example 60 minutes at the bar.
    • Only staff can book this room: guests do not see it. Staff can still add bookings there.
    • Note for guests and the room’s photo. The page also shows the room’s tables and booking times.
  4. Tap a table. Set its Seats and its Smallest group. A table for 2 to 4 guests is not given to 1 person or to 6. Untick Guests can book this table online to keep it for staff.
  5. Two tables can join for a bigger group. Pick the other table in Can join with.
  6. Open Settings → Booking settings. On Opening times, press Add a booking time, for example Dinner. Each booking time is a bar on the week. Drag the bar to move it, or drag its end to make it longer or shorter. Tap it to set the days, the time step and the rooms that are open.
  7. On Closed days, tap a day on the calendar to close it, for example a private party on 29 October.
  8. On Rules, set how long before guests must book, how far ahead they can book, and how long you keep a table for late guests.
  9. On Rooms, see every room and open its settings page.

Each page has its own Save bar.

To see what guests will see, use Check free times under the week on Opening times. Pick a day and a number of guests. You see the free times in each space, or the reason there are none, for example Closed on this day.

What the guest sees

  1. They pick how many guests and a day. Each space shows its free times.
  2. They pick a time. We keep it for them for 10 minutes while they write their name and phone.
  3. They see Your table is booked and a booking number. If they gave an email, we send it the details, a calendar link and a Change or cancel link.
  4. You get a message in Telegram and at your venue email for every new booking, and when a guest cancels.

The page speaks English, Italian and Thai.

Good to know

  • Only people who can change settings can change this page. Everyone can read it.
  • The floor plan is the same for bookings, QR ordering and the till. You draw each room once.
  • A table with bookings still to come cannot be deleted. Move or cancel the bookings first.
  • How long a table stays booked depends on the group size. For example, 90 minutes for 2 guests and 150 minutes for 8. A room can set one length for every group instead.
  • A couple gets the smallest free table. Two joined tables are used only when no single table fits.
  • When a guest picks a time, we keep the table for them for 10 minutes. Two guests can never get the same table.
  • The Kitchen limit stops too many guests from arriving at the same time.
  • A guest can cancel from their link until the booking starts. After that, the page asks them to call you.
  • Table bookings are new. We turn them on for a few venues first. The booking page needs your full website to be on.
  • To send every Book a table button here, open Settings → Venue → How to reach you and pick Our booking page. A button on an event opens this page on the day of the event, for example 15 October. On Bookings, that booking shows For the event and the event’s name.
