Making the scrolling version

A film on a page does not play on its own. It moves forward as the visitor scrolls. This step turns your finished film into the pictures that do that.

It costs no credits. It runs in your own browser, out of the film you already made.

How it works

  1. Open your film and go to Publish & export.
  2. Press Make the scroll version. Keep the tab on screen while it works.
  3. Open Advanced if you want to change the size or the smoothness.
  4. Frames per second is how smooth the scroll feels. More frames means a smoother film and a bigger download.
  5. How wide is the size of each picture. Bigger is sharper and slower to load. A tall film asks for a phone size. A wide film asks for a computer size.
  6. Also make a lighter copy adds a second, smaller set for slow connections.

Good to know

  • A wide film can also make a tall set for phones. It is the same film fitted into a tall shape, so the left and right edges are cut off.
  • A tall film is made for phones. On a computer it gets cut down to a strip and the top and the bottom are lost.
  • To cover both, add the other shape under Shapes at the top of the page. The two stay joined, and each screen loads only its own pictures.
  • Make both shapes at the same Frames per second. If they differ, one of them scrolls at the wrong speed.
