Alcohol on your menu

เนื้อหานี้ยังไม่มีในภาษาของคุณ

If your menu has alcohol, two things happen. Guests confirm their age before they see the drinks. Your team reads the alcohol rules once before they add a drink.

The rule: you are responsible for how you show alcohol. We do not check it for you.

How it works

  1. The system finds your drinks with alcohol. It looks at the section type (wine, beer, cocktail, spirit, sake) and the section name.
  2. When a guest reaches your drinks, an age check covers the whole screen. The guest must press I am 20 or older or I am under 20 before they can go on. Before that, the drinks are hidden under a strong blur.
  3. The age comes from the country in your venue’s address. It is 20 in Thailand and 18 in Italy. It is 18 when we do not know the country.
  4. The first time a person on your team saves a drink with alcohol, they see Rules for alcohol. They tick the box and press Continue. We save who did it and when.

Good to know

  • A guest who only reads your food is never stopped. Soft drinks and mocktails do not start the check.
  • A guest who says I am 20 or older is not asked again on that phone.
  • A guest who says I am under 20 sees “Drinks with alcohol are hidden.” We ask again on the next visit.
  • Google and AI tools still read your drinks. Your search results do not change.
  • To hide all alcohol from people who come from Google or a link, turn on Hide alcohol from people online on the Menu Categories page. Guests who scan a QR code in the venue still see it. See Sections only for guests in the venue.
  • Each person on your team sees Rules for alcohol once for each venue. It shows when they add a drink, edit a drink, or add drinks from a menu scan.
