Set menus — one price, the guest picks the courses

A set lunch at ฿390 where the guest picks one pasta, one dessert and one coffee. You build it out of dishes you already have, so nothing is typed twice.

The rule

Each course is a required choice with your real dishes as the options. Guests see the photo and the allergens of every dish they’re choosing between.

How it works

1. Create the bundle as a normal dish — name it Set Lunch, price it ฿390, and link it to its till item.
2. Add one modifier group per course. Name it the way a guest reads it — “Choose one pasta” — set it to single choice and mark it required.
3. Add an option per dish. In each option, pick the dish under This option is a dish. Leave the price impact at 0 for an included course, or set +120 for a supplement like truffle.
4. Repeat for dessert and coffee. Save.

A guest tapping Set Lunch now gets a course picker: each option shows its photo, its description and what it contains, and can’t be skipped.

Good to know

• Put the bundle in its own section and give that section service times — a set lunch that only runs 11:30 to 15:00 handles itself.
• Two courses for ฿390 and three for ฿489? Make two set menus. It reads more clearly to a guest than one menu with a price ladder.
• A course option costs whatever you type in its price impact — ฿0 for included, +฿120 for a supplement. The bundle price covers the rest.
• Change a dish once and it changes everywhere: on its own menu page and inside every set menu that offers it.
• Set menus need the till module. A venue taking online orders without a till can’t build one yet.
